Assam Police Recruitment Board released a vacancy notification of various vacant posts under the Department of Assam Police, ASSAM COMMANDO BATTALIONS, and DGCD & CGHG, ASSAM.

Eligible candidates are invited to apply for 928 Posts of COOK, BARBER, WATER CARRIER, DHOBI, COBBLER, ATTENDANT, GRASS CUTTER, SYCE, GARDENER, PAINTER, SAFAI KARMACHARI, ELECTRICIAN, PLUMBER, CARPENTER, MASON, TAILOR (Grade Four) in the above-mentioned Departments, Assam. Name of the Posts- Electrician/Plumber/Carpenter/Mason/Tailor/

Educational Qualification– Minimum Class 8 passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from a recognized Board or Council.

A minimum two-year certificate course from a recognized Industrial Training Institution / Vocational Institute will carry 5 marks

Name of the Posts- Cook/ Water carrier/ Dhobi/Barbar/Gardener/Painter/Safai Karmasari/ Cobbler.

Educational Qualification– Minimum Class 8 passed from a recognized School or Institution and maximum qualification will be HSSLC or Class XII passed from a recognized Board or Council.

Training Certificate issued by Sector Skill Council (SSC) will carry 5 marks

Other Qualification-

Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam.

Selected candidates will have to submit Proof of Residence after the publication of the final select list.

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC/MOBC are exempted from submitting such certificates.

Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.

To be eligible for the position, candidates must have good physical and mental health, and be free of any medical conditions that may affect their ability to perform their duties effectively.

All candidates must pass a medical examination before being appointed to the service.

Physical Standard-

General- To be eligible, candidates must not have squint eyes and must have good color vision. They must also be in good mental and physical health, free from physical deformities, and not suffering from any illnesses such as diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases, or any other conditions that may affect their ability to perform their duties.

Eye Sight- Candidates must have a distant vision of 6/6 in at least one eye and no worse than 6/9 in the other eye without correction. They must also have normal near vision.

Candidates must have a weight proportional to their height according to medical standards.

How to Apply-

To apply for these posts, candidates must submit their application online through the SLPRB official website. Applications submitted through any other method will not be accepted.

To submit their application, candidates must follow these steps-

Register in the portal using a valid mobile number. Note: It is important for candidates to keep their mobile numbers unchanged until the recruitment process is completed.

After successful registration, candidates will receive a Recruitment ID. Candidates who generate multiple Recruitment IDs will have their candidature canceled.

Application fee- There is no application fee required for this position.

Age Limit- To be eligible for the posts of Assam Commando Battalions, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 25 as of July 1, 2022. This means that they must have been born on or after July 1, 1997, and on or before July 1, 2004.

To be eligible for the posts of Assam Police, DGCD & CHGH, and F & ES, candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 40 as of July 1, 2022. This means that they must have been born on or after July 1, 1982, and on or before July 1, 2004.

Age Relaxation-

Documents Needed-

Certificate of age (Admit Card/Certificate of H.S.L.C or equivalent examination)

Pass Certificate of H.S.L.C or equivalent examination.

Mark sheet of H.S.L.C or equivalent examination.

Employment Exchange Registration Card.

Certificate of caste from a competent authority. Caste certificates issued by other states will not be accepted.

NCC certificate issued by a competent authority, if applicable (for which the candidate may claim weightage marks).

SELECTION PROCEDURE-

PRELIMINARY DOCUMENT VERIFICATION- Before being allowed to participate in the PST and TPT, candidates will have their original documents and a set of photocopies of those documents checked for compliance with the eligibility criteria.

Candidates who are rejected will be given a rejection slip specifying the reason for their rejection. Providing incorrect information or submitting forged documents at any stage of the recruitment process will result in disqualification and may also lead to criminal prosecution. Original documents may also be checked at any later stage of the recruitment process. All photocopies of documents submitted by candidates must be self-attested.

PHYSICAL STANDARD TEST AND PRELIMINARY MEDICAL CHECKUP AND TRADE PROFICIENCY TEST-

After their documents have been reviewed and found to be correct, candidates will participate in the PST (Physical Standard Test). This test is for evaluation purposes only and will not affect the candidate’s score.

EFFICIENCY TEST IN ALL RESPECTIVE TRADES-

A candidate will be eliminated from the recruitment process as soon as they fail to qualify in any event during the PST or Trade Proficiency Test.

Candidates who are eliminated from a particular test will be given a rejection slip.

The results of the PST and Trade Proficiency Test in each trade will be displayed locally at the end of each day of testing. After all, candidates have completed the PST and Trade Proficiency Test in their respective trade, a merit list will be created for each category based on the total marks scored in the Trade Proficiency Test and the number of vacancies available, as listed in Para I.
