  • Effective teamwork skills.
  • Handling of at least 20 criminal trials in Sessions Court (may be relaxed in exceptional cases by the Hon’ble Executive Chairman ASLSA).
  • Proficiency in IT skills.

  • The appointments are temporary and on a contractual basis, with no guarantee of regularization.
  • Legal Aid Defense Counsels will initially be engaged on a contract for 2 years, extendable yearly based on performance, subject to approval by the Hon’ble Executive Chairman, Assam State Legal Services Authority, Guwahati.
  • Late or incomplete applications will be summarily rejected without explanation.
