Pay Scale
Agniveer vayu enrolled under this Scheme will be paid an Agniveer package of Rs. 30,000 per month with a fixed yearly increment.
In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in IAF), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules.

Candidates are required to fill out online applications by visiting the website https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
During the online registration process, candidates are instructed to upload the following documents, as applicable:
(a) Class 10th/matriculation passing certificate.
(b) Intermediate/10+2 or equivalent mark sheet.
(c) Higher education qualifications/Additional skill certificates, if any. OR 3-year Engineering Diploma Final Year mark sheet (if applying based on a 3-year Engineering Diploma from a Government-recognized polytechnic in the prescribed stream) and Intermediate/Matriculation mark sheet (if English is not a subject in the Diploma course). OR
2-year Vocational course mark sheets of a non-vocational course with subjects English, Physics, and Mathematics.
(d) A recent passport-size color photograph (taken not earlier than June 2023) with a size between 10 KB to 50 KB.
The photograph should depict the candidate in a front portrait position against a light background, without any headgear (except for Sikhs).
The candidate must hold a black slate in front of their chest, with their name and the date of the photograph clearly written on it using white chalk in capital letters.
Any significant changes in appearance, such as growing a beard or wearing headgear, compared to the photograph, may result in the cancellation of the candidature for the STAR online examination and Phase-II.
(e) Image of the candidate’s left-hand thumb impression, with a size between 10 KB to 50 KB.
(f) Image of the candidate’s signature, with a size between 10 KB to 50 KB.
(g) Image of the candidate’s parent’s (Father/Mother) or guardian’s signature (if the candidate is below 18 years old at the time of filling the online application). Ensure that all the required documents are uploaded as per the specified sizes and guidelines for a successful application submission.
Application fee
Examination fee of RS 250 is to be paid online by the candidate while registering for the online examination. The payment can be made by Debit Cards/ Credit Cards/Internet Banking through payment gateway.
Candidates are advised to follow the instructions/ steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/keep transaction details for their records.
Age Limit
(a) Date of Birth Block: Candidates born between 27 June 2003 and 27 December 2006 (both dates inclusive) are eligible to apply. (b) If a candidate successfully clears all stages of the Selection Procedure, the upper age limit for enrollment should not exceed 21 years as of the date of enrollment.

Mandatory Medical Standards
The general medical standards for AGNIVEERVAYU male and female candidates are as follows:
(a) Height: (i) For Male candidates: The minimum acceptable height is 152.5 cms. (ii) For Female candidates: The minimum acceptable height is 152 cms. However, candidates from the North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand may have a lower minimum height of 147 cms. For candidates from Lakshadweep, the minimum height requirement is 150 cms. Note: Candidates availing height relaxation based on their domicile in the North East/Hilly Regions of Uttarakhand/Lakshadweep are required to submit a domicile certificate with an endorsement of their domicile status during Phase-II testing. Candidates from the hilly regions of Uttarakhand must have a specific endorsement of the hilly region in their domicile certificate.
(b) Weight: The weight should be proportionate to the height and age of the candidate.
(c) Chest: The chest wall should be well proportioned with a minimum range of expansion of 5 cms for both male and female candidates.
(d) Hearing: Candidates should have normal hearing, which means they should be able to hear a forced whisper from a distance of 6 meters with each ear separately.
(e) Dental: Candidates should have healthy gums, a good set of teeth, and a minimum of 14 dental points.
(f) Visual standards: Candidates who have undergone corneal surgery (PRK/LASIK) are not eligible. If candidates use spectacles for corrected vision, they should bring the prescription, which should contain diopter measurement, the ophthalmologist’s registration number, stamp, signature, and date of prescription. The prescription should be within a month prior to appearing for the medical examination.
(g) General Health: Candidates should have a normal anatomy without any loss of appendages. They should be free from any active or latent, acute or chronic, medical or surgical disability, communicable diseases, infections, and skin ailments. Candidates should be physically and mentally fit to perform duties in any part of the world, under any climate and terrain.
(j) Gynecological Examination (For female candidates): The examination covers the external genitalia, hernia orifices, and the perineum. It also checks for any evidence of stress urinary incontinence or genital prolapse outside the introitus.
Online Test
Candidates who are eligible will receive provisional admit cards for Phase-I of testing via their registered email IDs. The admit cards will be sent between 48-72 hours prior to the examination.
Candidates must download the admit card, take a color printout, and bring it to the examination center. The name of the city and the exam date will be communicated to the candidates in advance to allow them to plan their travel accordingly.
To download the provisional admit card, candidates can log in to their candidate’s account on the CASB web portal at https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
All candidates possessing the provisional admit card will undergo the Online Test at designated or allotted centers as indicated on their admit card.
The Online Test will be objective type, with bilingual questions in English and Hindi (except for the English paper). Candidates are required to bring a blue/black pen and their original AADHAAR card for Phase-I testing.
The details of the test are as follows:
(a) Science Subjects: The total duration of the online test will be 60 minutes and will consist of Physics, Mathematics, and English based on the 10+2 CBSE syllabus.
(b) Other than Science Subjects: The total duration of the online test will be 45 minutes and will include English based on the 10+2 CBSE syllabus, as well as Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA).
(c) Science Subjects & Other than Science Subjects: The total duration of the online test will be 85 minutes and will cover Physics, Mathematics, and English based on the 10+2 CBSE syllabus, along with Reasoning and General Awareness (RAGA).
(d) Marking pattern for the online test:
(i) One mark will be awarded for every correct answer.
(ii) Unattempted questions will receive nil (0) marks.
(iii) For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted. It is important for candidates to familiarize themselves with the test pattern and marking scheme before appearing for the online test.
General instructions
(a) Candidates must indicate their five choices of examination centers for the STAR ONLINE EXAM and twelve choices of ASCs (Air Force Selection Boards) for Phase-II in order of preference while filling out the online application form. However, please note that CASB (Central Airmen Selection Board) reserves the right to allocate any center other than those mentioned in the application.
(b) Requests for changes in the examination center or the date of the selection test will not be entertained.
(c) Candidates who fail to report for the test on the scheduled date and time will not be accommodated on other dates or shifts.
(d) Duplicate, incomplete, or erroneously filled applications will be rejected.
(e) Candidates should be prepared to stay for the entire duration of the tests at their own arrangements. No Travel Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be provided.
(f) Candidates are required to provide an active email ID, which will be used by CASB for all communications throughout the entire selection process and enrollment for the specific intake. It is advised to keep the email ID and password secure for all future communications.
(g) Each candidate should apply only once in response to this advertisement. (h) Candidature of candidates who apply multiple times in response to this advertisement and obtain different registration numbers will be rejected.
Important Information
Candidates are required to sign a consent form before appearing in the physical fitness test/medical test for selection in the Indian Air Force (IAF).
They must understand that they participate in these tests at their own risk, and IAF will not provide any compensation for injuries or casualties sustained during such tests.
For candidates below 18 years of age, the consent form must be signed by their parents or guardians. The consent form is included with the Phase-II admit card.
Adaptability Test-I: Candidates who pass the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) will have to undergo Adaptability Test-I, which is an objective type written test.
This test assesses the suitability of a candidate for employment in the IAF, considering various geographic terrains, weather conditions, and operational requirements.
Adaptability Test-II: Candidates who pass Adaptability Test-I will then undertake Adaptability Test-II, following the current policy. Adaptability Test-II aims to select candidates who can adapt to the environment of the Indian Air Force and adjust to the military way of life. Phase-III: 33.
Medical Examination: Candidates who qualify Adaptability Test-II will receive a medical appointment letter at the respective ASCs (Air Force Selection Centers).
The medical examination will be conducted by the Air Force Medical Team, adhering to the IAF medical standards and current policy.
The medical examination will include baseline investigations such as blood haemogram, urine analysis, biochemistry tests, X-ray chest (PA view), ultrasonography (for female candidates), ECG (R), and any other necessary tests as determined by the Medical Officer.
Candidates declared medically unfit have the option to appeal through an Appeal Medical Board (AMB) by depositing Rs. 40/- in a Government Treasury/RBI/SBI using an Electronic Military Receivable Order (e-MRO) or Military Receivable Order (MRO).
The application for AMB, along with the original copy of the e-MRO/MRO and a photocopy of the Unfitness Certificate, must be submitted to the representative of the ASC within three working days of the medical examination.
