Pay Level-1, RS 18,000 to RS 56,900 for the post of Sepoy in NIA.

Educational Qualifications

Matriculation Requirement:

Candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/University.

Essential Qualification Deadline:

Candidates without the essential educational qualification as of the specified date need not apply and will be deemed ineligible.

Recognition of Open and Distance Learning:

Degrees/diplomas/certificates obtained through Open and Distance Learning from Universities established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature, Institutions Deemed to be Universities, and Institutions of National Importance are recognized for Central Government employment.

Recognition is contingent upon approval by the Distance Education Bureau, University Grants Commission, during the relevant period of qualification acquisition.

Document Verification and Educational Certificates
  • Candidates called for Document Verification must present original Certificates (e.g., Mark sheets, Provisional Certificates) as proof of completing Matriculation.
  • Failure to provide these documents will result in the cancellation of candidature.
  • Candidates proving, by documentary evidence, that the qualifying examination result was declared on or before the cut-off date, with a passing status, will also be considered to meet the educational qualification.
  • It is emphasized that the result must have been declared by the specified date; mere processing of results by the Board/University/Institute does not meet the Educational Qualification requirement.

Applications will be accepted through online mode only.

Computer Based Examination (CBE) will be conducted in English and Hindi.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Detailed Medical Examination (DME), and Review Medical Examination (RME) will be conducted by the CAPFs.

Eligibility certificates/documents will be verified during the Detailed Medical Examination (DME).

Application Fee

Fee of Rs 100 (Rupees 100 Only). Deadline for online submissions: 29/12/2023. Women, SC, ST, and ESM candidates eligible for reservation are exempt from the fee.

Vacancy Distribution

Vacancies in all CAPFs will be filled based on availability in various States/ UTs.

Additional vacancies are reserved for Border Guarding Districts and Militancy/ Naxal affected Districts.

Certificate Submission for Reserved Categories

Candidates seeking reservation or age-relaxation must submit the relevant certificate from the competent authority.

The certificate should be in the prescribed format.

Failure to provide the required certificate will result in the consideration of the candidate under the Un-reserved (UR) category.

Migration and Reservation Choice:

Candidates from SC, ST, or OBC categories, migrating between states, must choose whether to avail reservation benefits from the state of origin or appear as an unreserved candidate in the state of migration.

This choice is made in the online Application Form and is non-changeable post-submission.

Crucial Date for Reservation Status:

The closing date for online applications serves as the crucial date for claiming SC/ST/OBC/EWS status.

Creamy Layer Check for OBC Candidates:

Candidates seeking OBC reservation must possess a caste/community certificate and should not fall within the creamy layer on the crucial date.

Provisional Candidature and Verification:

Candidature remains provisional until the verification of relevant documents by the Appointing Authority.

Warning against fraudulent claims of reservation status, with the risk of debarment from Commission examinations.

Domicile/PRC for State/UT Recruitment:

Candidates are recruited in their respective State/UT based on the production of a valid Domicile/Permanent Residential Certificate (PRC).

The certificate must be issued by the competent authority as authorized by the concerned State/UT.

Failure to provide the required certificate results in immediate cancellation of candidature.

Exemption for Assam Candidates:

The State of Assam does not issue Domicile Certificate/Permanent Residence Certificate.

Candidates from Assam are exempt from submitting the same but must undergo residential status verification.

Special Case for West Pakistani Refugees (WPR) in J&K and Ladakh:

WPR settled in Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, without UT citizenship, are recruited without needing a domicile certificate.

However, a Nativity/Identity Certificate for WPR must be submitted as per Annexure-XIII.

Result Declaration:

Final results and force allocation will be declared based on the performance in the Computer Based Examination.

Candidates must qualify the Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Medical Examination, and other specified conditions.

Admit Card:

Admit Cards for any stage of the examination will not be sent by post.
