Important Points

Candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions given in the notice of examination before applying.

The use of unfair means such as copying from unauthorized sources, possessing electronic gadgets like Bluetooth devices and spy cameras, impersonation, taking snapshots or videos of examination material, and attempting to hack or manipulate examination servers are strictly prohibited and may result in a ban of 7 to 8 years.

Candidates must write their name and date of birth as recorded in their matriculation/secondary certificate.

Any variation in the name or date of birth will lead to disqualification from the examination. Candidates should also submit their online applications well before the closing date to avoid disconnection or login failure due to heavy website traffic.

The Commission will not undertake detailed scrutiny of applications at the time of the computer-based examination, so candidates should ensure they meet the eligibility requirements before applying.

Supporting documents will be requested during the scrutiny stage, and if any claim made in the application is found to be unsubstantiated, the candidature will be canceled.

Candidates seeking reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS/ESM should ensure they are eligible and have the necessary certificates.

Only candidates with benchmark physical disabilities are considered PwBD and are entitled to reservation for Persons with Disabilities.

Candidates may submit only one online application for one category of post. They should take a printout of the application form for submission at the scrutiny stage and for their own records.

If a candidate is found to have submitted more than one application for a single category of post, all applications will be rejected by the Commission and their candidature for the examination will be canceled.

If a candidate appears in the examination more than once due to submitting multiple applications for the same category of post, their candidature will be canceled, and they will be barred from future examinations conducted by the Commission as per the rules.

It is mandatory for candidates to write their father’s and mother’s names exactly as given in their Matriculation/Secondary Certificates, failure to do so may lead to the cancellation of their candidature during document verification or if it comes to the Commission’s notice later.

In the online Application Form, candidates must upload a scanned color passport-size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB).

The photograph should not be more than three months old from the date of publication of the Notice of Examination and should have an image dimension of about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height), with the face occupying about 40% of the area of the photograph and a full face view.

The photograph should be taken without a cap, without spectacles, and with a frontal view of the face visible.

Applications with poor quality, miniature and blurred photographs, or side-facing photographs will be rejected, and if the proper photograph is not uploaded by the candidate, their candidature will be canceled.

Candidates must also upload their scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB), with an image dimension of about 4.0 cm (width) x 2.0 cm (height).

 The Commission will reject applications with blurred or illegible photographs/signatures. Requests for change/correction in the application form will not be entertained after the correction window provided by the Commission, except during a three-day period after the closing date for applications, where candidates can modify their application data and re-submit the corrected form by paying the prescribed correction charges.

The latest modified application will be considered valid, and previous applications will be ignored. Candidates must ensure that they have filled correct details in each field of the form before submitting the corrected/final online application.

No changes/modifications will be allowed after the submission or expiry of the correction window, and requests for changes in any form will be rejected. Candidates are advised to provide their correct and active e-mail addresses and mobile numbers in the online application.

Additionally, candidates must carry at least two passport-sized recent color photographs and a valid photo-ID proof with the full date of birth, such as an Aadhaar Card, Driving License, Pan Card, Passport, ID Card issued by a University/ College/ School, Employer ID Card, Ex-Serviceman Discharge Book, or any other photo-bearing ID Card issued by the Central/ State Government, along with the Admission Certificate.

If the Photo Identity Card of a candidate does not mention their date of birth, they must also carry an additional original document as proof of their date of birth, such as a Matriculation Certificate, Marks Sheet issued only by CBSE/ ICSE/ State Boards, Birth Certificate, or Category Certificate.

In case there is a mismatch in the date of birth mentioned in the Admission Certificate and the photo ID or certificate brought as proof, the candidate will not be permitted to appear for the examination.

PwD/PwBD candidates using the services of scribes as per Para 9.1 and 9.2 must also carry the requisite Medical Certificate/ Undertaking/ Photocopy of the Scribe’s Photo ID Proof as specified therein, failing which they will not be allowed to appear for the examination. (AssamJob)

Candidates misusing the name/ photo of any dignitary to fabricate their application/ registration will be held responsible for the same and may face legal action under the cyber/ IT act.

All posts carry All India Service Liability (AISL), meaning that the selected candidate may be asked to serve anywhere in the country. No admission certificates will be issued by post, and candidates must download the admission certificate for the examination from the website of the concerned Regional Offices.

After submitting the online Application Form, candidates must take a printout of the same for submitting along with requisite documents, duly self-attested, as and when called for by the Commission after the conduct of the Computer-Based Examination. (AssamJob)

If a candidate is finally selected and does not receive any correspondence from the concerned User Department within three months of the declaration of the result, they must immediately contact the concerned User Department.

The fee payable for the examination is Rs. 100/- (Rs. one hundred only). Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD), and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of the fee.

All candidates qualified for Document Verification will be required to appear for Document Verification in the User Department/ Regional Office to which the Post-category belongs.

If a candidate is applying for Post Code No. KK11023 (Post Name – Junior Grade of IIS), they must select at least one language preference out of the twelve languages (English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Bengali, Assamese, Oriya, ssamJob Marathi, Sindhi, Kannada, Telugu) studied up to the 10th Class by clicking on the language options that will appear on the official advertisement.
