Assam Direct Recruitment. Once again very good news for the educated unemployed youth of Assam from the State government of Assam. New job in Assam. The Assam government led by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma, in a speech on Tuesday 06/12/2022, announced another mega appointment.

In his address, Chief Minister Dr. Sharma informed that the process of recruiting about 30,000 government jobs in Assam will be started in March 2023. The announcement has surely brought a ray of hope to the educated, government job seekers in Assam.

According to him-
“When I said during the elections that we will provide one lakh government jobs to the youth of Assam, very few people believed in me. But today we have been able to give forty thousand jobs with great success, we will finish the recruitment of thirty thousand jobs in the next sixty days. And we will be releasing thirty thousand new job advertisements before March 2003. That is, we have been able to fulfill the full promise of one lakh jobs or we are on our way to fulfilling it.”

It may be recalled that in the year 2021, the Government of Assam introduced a bill in the Assam Legislative Assembly for various government jobs of class III and IV posts, and passed the bill in the same year.
As a result, the Act was declared in the Assam Gazette on 27 January 2022. (Registered No. 768/97, Act No. 42-2022). Through this Act, the recruitment process for about 26,000 class III and IV posts in Assam is already underway.
The salient content of this Act is as follows-

1. The Act is called The Assam Direct Recruitment Commissions for Analogous Posts in Class 3 and Class 4 Act, 2021.
2. The act extends to the whole of Assam.
3. It shall come into force at once.

Assam Direct Recruitment Act shall apply for direct recruitment to all class 3, both technical and non-technical, and class 4 posts under the Government of Assam. Provided that the Government may, by specific or general notification, exclude certain posts or categories of posts from the purview of this Act.

The commission for direct recruitment of candidates for class 3 posts shall be known as the State Level Recruitment Commission for class 3 Posts, and The commission for direct recruitment of candidates for class 4 posts shall be known as the State Level Recruitment Commission for class 4 Posts.

The procedure of Direct Recruitment-

The eligibility conditions as to minimum educational qualifications, essential experience, if any, age limit, and reservations for the reserved categories, applicable for the vacant posts shall be provided for in the respective service rules, Executive orders, and as per general or specific provisions. The Power of the Commission to make rules-

1. The commission, may, with prior approval of the Government, by notification, make regulations not inconsistent with this Act and the rules made thereunder for carrying out the provisions of this Act.
2. In particular, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such regulations may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely-

a. Manner of conducting written tests, examinations, practical examinations, or interviews and selection of candidates for recommendation under ………………
