Pre-Entry Test -2023 – Online applications are invited from eligible candidates who are permanent residents of Assam for participation in the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2023.
Successful candidates in this test will be considered for admission into the 2-Year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed.) Course.
The course will be conducted in the Teacher Education Institutes (DIET/CTE/Normal School/BTC/Pvt. TEIs) of the state, which are recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), for the academic session 2023-2025.

Educational qualifications
The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary (HS) [10+2] from a recognized Board/Council.
The minimum aggregate marks required for eligibility is 50%, excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject. Candidates belonging to SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category will be granted a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate marks, excluding marks secured in the optional/extra/fourth subject.

Age for Pre-Entry Test -2023
The candidate’s age should be between 18 years and 34 years as of 1st July, 2023.
For candidates belonging to SC, ST(P), and ST(H) categories, there will be a relaxation of 2 years in the upper age limit.
Reservation
The allocation of seats for candidates belonging to reserved categories, including OBC/MOBC, SC, ST(P), ST(H), Person with Disability (PWD), and EWS, will be implemented as per the Reservation Policy in place.

The Venue for the Pre-Entry Test (PET)-2023 will be allocated in the “District” selected by the candidates during the submission of the application form.
