Admission into Post Graduate State Quota Seats in Government Medical Colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati 2023

It is hereby informed to all concerned parties that the provisional selection list of candidates following the Stray Vacancy Round of Online Counseling for 50% Post Graduate seats in the Government Medical Colleges of Assam and B.B.C.I., Guwahati, under Assam State Quota for the session 2023, has been officially posted on the official website at www.dme.assam.gov.in.

The provisionally selected candidates are instructed to report for admission into their respective College/Institution during office hours on the 19th and 20th of October, 2023, while adhering to the following terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these terms will result in the cancellation of their allotment.

All admissions are provisional and are contingent upon the fulfillment of all the requisite eligibility criteria as per the “Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment up to 2023),” and the court order as per Hon’ble Gauhati High Court order in WP(C) No. 4321 of 2023 (Angshuman Gogoi & 2 Ors. Vs. the State of Assam & 2 Ors.).

Candidates are required to present all necessary original documents along with admission and counseling fees, among other requirements, at the time of admission.

Candidates shall be obligated to deposit the original documents as specified in the “Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment up to 2023).”

After admission, all candidates must execute a duly registered agreement on non-judicial stamp paper of applicable value, in accordance with the “Medical Colleges of Assam (Regulation of Admission into Post Graduate Degree and Diploma Courses) Rules, 2021 (Amendment up to 2023),” within 2 (two) weeks from the date of admission.

Any candidate who provides false information or declaration is liable to have their admission revoked at any time, and appropriate proceedings will be initiated against such candidates under applicable law, including the professional conduct etiquette and ethics outlined in the National Medical Commission’s Regulation.
