assam career.com 2023 – Applications are invited for the position of Project Management Unit (PMU) Manager, urgently required on a contractual basis for engagement under the STATE NAMASTE Coordinator for the State of Assam.

Essential Qualifications

Graduate or Post Graduate degree from a recognized university in urban planning, Social Work, public policy, business administration, Sociology, Anthropology, Commerce, Science, or other related fields, with at least 55% marks.

Two years of relevant work experience for Graduate candidates.

Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) in English and the official language of the State of Assam.

Proficiency in MS Office and various mobile applications.

Age

Age between 21 years to 35 years.

Desirable

Two years of relevant work experience for Post Graduate Candidates.

Selection Process: The candidate will be selected and deployed by the Assam State Namaste Nodal Officer in consultation with a Committee of officers from MoSJE and NSKFDC through a web link.

Terms and Conditions for PMU Deployment

a) The PMU Manager will work full-time exclusively for the project and cannot engage in any other project or work during the NAMASTE project duration.

Any changes in PMU deployment require approval from NSKFDC/Ministry.

b) The PMU Manager will be selected for a period of two years with a possibility of extension for one year, subject to requirement and satisfactory performance.

c) The engagement of PMU Manager will be purely project-based, and they will not have any claim for continuing their services in any capacity beyond the project.

d) The PMU Manager will receive a monthly remuneration of Rs 45,000/- per month inclusive of applicable taxes and statutory dues.

e) NSKFDC will make payments to the PMU Manager upon certification of attendance, satisfactory working, and submission of a brief write-up of works performed during the month, by the State Namaste Nodal Officer.

f) Since these PMU Managers will work as State Namaste Coordinators (SNCs), they will be required to travel within the State.

An amount of Rs. 10,000/- per month has been estimated for their TA/DA, which will be paid by NSKFDC based on actual expenses supported by original bills/tickets at the norms fixed for its Executives at E-0 level.

g) PMU Managers will be required to arrange a good working condition laptop and mobile during the period of engagement for their use. For this, they will not be paid an extra amount.

h) PMU Managers will be entitled to one leave per month.

i) PMU Managers will not be allowed to show any political affiliation during the project period and should work without any favor to any section of society. They must not disclose any confidential information acquired during the services without prior written consent from NSKFDC.

j) The services of PMU Managers can be terminated by the Ministry of Social Justice in case of non-performance and non-adherence to duty timelines.

Scope of Work for PMU Managers under NAMASTE

a) The proposed PMU Manager will be designated as State NAMASTE Coordinator (SNC) and will be deployed with the Assam Namaste Nodal Officer.

b) The SNC will report the progress of implementation in the ULBs (Urban Local Bodies) of the assigned State to the Assam Namaste Nodal Officer and assist in coordination and regular follow-up with the concerned ULBs for the effective implementation of the Scheme.

c) The SNC will provide periodic progress reports and necessary information during the NAMASTE project’s implementation and ensure regular updation of MIS (Management Information System) on the NAMASTE portal.

d) The State Namaste Nodal Officer and NSKFDC can direct the SNC to visit any District or ULBs for work related to the implementation of NAMASTE.
