Age Limit- The age requirement for the candidate is between 20 and 24 years old as of January 1st, 2023. To meet this requirement, the candidate must have been born on or after January 1st, 1999, and on or before January 1st, 2003.

Salary- The salary for these positions falls under Pay Band No 2, with a pay scale of RS 14000 to 60500 plus grade pay of RS 8700, along with other eligible allowances.
How to Apply
The online application process must be completed through the SLPRB website. Any other forms of application will not be accepted. The following steps must be followed during the online application process.
Registering on the portal using a valid mobile number.
After successful registration, candidates will receive a Recruitment ID.
Candidates who generate multiple recruitment IDs will have their candidature canceled.
Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the following documents:
Application fee- No application fee for the posts of Assam Police Radio Organization (APRO).
Documents needed- Age Verification Documents such as Admit Card or HSLC or equivalent exam certificate.
Certificate of required educational qualifications.
Mark sheet of required educational qualifications.
Employment Exchange Registration Card.
Caste Certificate from authorized authority. Only certificates issued by the state will be accepted.
NCC certificate issued by the authorized authority, if applicable, for the purpose of claiming weightage marks.
Selection Criteria- The written exam for the post of Sub-Inspector (UB) will consist of 100 questions, each worth 1 mark. Incorrect answers will result in a deduction of 0.5 marks. The exam will be based on OMR sheets and will assess the candidate’s logical reasoning, aptitude, and English comprehension, knowledge of the history and culture of Assam and India, and general knowledge.
The test will be conducted in either English, Assamese, Bodo, or Bengali and must be answered using a black or dark blue ballpoint pen. The date and venue of the exam will be communicated later and is subject to change at the discretion of the Chairman. No representations will be accepted regarding the changes in venue.
Important Points
The candidate who tries to influence the process, will not be considered for the job.
No travel or living expenses will be provided in any part of the recruitment process.
Just being on the selection list does not guarantee a job. The department needs to be satisfied with the candidate’s medical examination and other before offering the job.
Candidates must attend all stages of the recruitment process. If a candidate missed any stage, their application will be canceled.
If a candidate’s application is not in the correct format, has incorrect information, missing required certificates, or is found to have provided false information, will be rejected.
The selection list will only be valid for a year from the date of the announcement.
Once hired, the candidate will be governed by the Assam Police Act and related rules and regulations.
