Educational qualifications

Qualifications for the post of Assistant Professor in Assam.

Educational Qualifications- A candidate should have a Master’s degree in the relevant subject from a recognized university or institution.

A minimum of 55% aggregate marks (or an equivalent grade) at the Master’s level is required.

A relaxation of 5% may be provided for candidates from reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/PwD).

NET/SLET/SET Qualification- The candidate should have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or CSIR, or a similar State-level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) accredited by the UGC. For candidates who have completed their Ph.D.

Ph.D. Degree: Candidates with a Ph.D. degree in the relevant subject are exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET.

Salary- According to the Government and UGC norms.
