Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for 2023

Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, Assam is inviting applications for the Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC,EBC and DNT Students who are studying at Education Institutions in Assam for the year 2023-24.

Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme

Name of the Scheme

PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM YASASVI), 30000 SCHOLARSHIPS for OBC, EBC and DNT Students.

Qualification

Applicants must belong to either the Other Backward Class (OBC), Economically Backward Classes (EBC), or De-Notified, Nomadic & Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNT).

The annual income of the parents/guardians should not exceed RS 2.50 Lakhs. The candidate should be enrolled in Class 9 or 11 at a recognized Top Class School. You can find the list of such schools at https://yet.nta.ac.in.

Studying in government school from class 1 to class 8 standard.

Citizenship- Indian

How to Apply

The online application process will be open from July 11, 2023, to August 10, 2023, until 11:50 pm. Applicants will have the opportunity to make corrections to their applications from August 12, 2023, to August 16, 2023.

No application fee for the application.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates for the scholarship award is based on a written test known as the YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST. The responsibility of conducting this test has been entrusted to the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Examination Process

The exam aims to select candidates from OBC, EBC, and DNT categories, who are currently studying in Class IX and Class XI, to award them scholarships for studying in Top Schools identified by the MSJ&E.

Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted in the Pen and Paper mode (OMR based).

Exam Pattern: The exam will be of Objective Type, comprising 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).

Duration: Candidates will have 2½ hours (150 minutes) to complete the exam. Medium: The exam can be taken in either English or Hindi.

Date of Exam: The YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST-2023 is scheduled for September 29, 2023 (Friday).

What is Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India?

The “PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India for OBCs and Others (PM-YASASVI)” is an inclusive program that serves as an umbrella Scheme for Other Backward Classes (OBCs), Economically Backward Classes (EBCs), and De-Notified, Nomadic & Semi-Nomadic Tribes (DNTs).
This Central Sector Scheme aims to provide Top Class School Education to eligible OBCs, EBCs, and DNTs.
The selection process for awarding the scholarships is conducted through an exam by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
To ensure efficient and unbiased examination procedures, the responsibility of conducting the YASASVI ENTRANCE TEST-2023 has been entrusted to the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Who is eligible for Young Achievers scholarship?

The eligibility requirements for appearing in the exam are as under-
Applicants should be Indian Nationals.
They should be belonging to OBC or EBC or DNT category.
They should be studying in identified Top Class Schools. The list of such Schools is hosted on the website https://yet.nta.ac.in
They should have passed Class 8 or Class 10 (as the case may be) in 2022-23.
The annual income of the parents/guardian from all sources should not be more than RS 2.5 lacs.
Candidate applying for Class 9 Exam should have been born between 01.04.2007 to31.03.2011 (both days inclusive).
Candidate applying for Class 11 Exam should have been born between 01.04.2005 to31.03.2009 (both days inclusive).
Both boys and girls are eligible to apply. Eligibility requirements for girls are the same as for boys.

How much is Young Achievers scholarship?

The scholarship award policy, as declared by the Competent Authority of the respective State Government or the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, will be adhered to. NTA does not have any involvement in the scholarship award process.
