Educational Qualification
- The educational qualifications and selection procedure shall adhere to the guidelines outlined in the Government Office Memorandum dated 24/01/2022 and dated 09.02.2022.
- It is mandatory for candidates to have NET/SLET/SET qualifications. However, candidates with a Ph.D. degree, in accordance with the UGC (minimum standards and procedures for the award of Ph.D. degree) regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET.
- Candidates must possess a good academic record with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade on a point scale) at the Master’s degree level in the respective subject.
- A 5% relaxation in marks may be provided to SC/ST/PWD candidates, and a similar relaxation may be granted to Ph.D. holders who obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19th September 1991.
- Qualifications such as M.Phil./Ph.D., seminar papers, and publications can be acquired and submitted on the date of the interview but not beyond.
Age limit
The age limit for candidates should not exceed 38 years as of 01/01/2022, with a relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates, and 10 years for PWD candidates.
