Assam Career 12/9/2023 – The Government of Assam, through the Office of the Principal Cum Chief Superintendent at Diphu Medical College & Hospital, Diphu, invites applications for the recruitment of the following contractual staff on fixed remuneration within the Multidisciplinary Research Unit (MRU) of Diphu Medical College and Hospital. This MRU project is funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR), Government of India.

1. Research Scientist-II (Scientist ‘C’)

• Number of Posts: 1
• Salary per month- RS 67,000+ HRA
• Essential Qualifications- First class MBBS/BVSc degree from Medical Council of India (MCI)/VCI recognized Medical College/institute with a minimum of two years research experience in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Pathology/ Microbiology/ Genetics or related biomedical subjects.
• Desirable Qualifications- Thorough knowledge of Medical statistics, Computer applications/Data management, data analysis, and interpretation of results of statistical analysis.
• Working knowledge of basic bioinformatics tools.
• Publications in indexed scientific journals.
• Experience of working in a similar setup in any Government or autonomous organization
• Age limit– 40 Years as of the date of the interview. Relaxable in accordance with GOI instructions.

2. Research Scientist-I (Scientist ‘B’)

• Number of Posts: 1
• Salary per month- RS 56,000+HRA
• Essential Qualifications: First Class MBBS/BVSc degree from a university recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI)/VCI with a minimum of one year research experience in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Pathology/ Microbiology/ Genetics or related biomedical subjects. OR
• Ph.D. Degree in Life Science subjects (Biotechnology, Pathology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Genetics) or related subject from a recognized University with two years Research and Development experience. OR
• M.Sc. with a first-class grade in a relevant life science field (Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Molecular biology, Genetics, or Microbiology) or a closely related field from a recognized university and three years of research experience in the field.
• Desirable Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of Medical statistics, Computer applications/Data management, data analysis, and interpretation of results of statistical analysis.
• Hands-on experience in molecular biology techniques (Conventional PCR, Real-time PCR, DNA sequencing, and analytical biochemistry).
• Working knowledge of basic bioinformatics tools.
• Publications in indexed scientific journals.
• Experience of working in a similar setup in any Government or autonomous organization
• Age limit: 35 Years as of the date of the interview. Relaxable in accordance with GOI instructions.

3. Laboratory Technician

• Number of Posts: 2
• Salary per month: RS 20,000+HRA
• Essential Qualifications: 12th pass in Science Subject and 2 years DMLT from a Government recognized institute having a minimum of 2 years experience from a recognized organization. OR
• 12th pass in the science stream and 3 years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) with 2 years of working experience in a clinical/research laboratory.
• Desirable Qualifications: Clinical Microbiology/Pathology/Biochemistry/molecular Biology laboratory work experience from a recognized institution.
• Working knowledge of basic computer application.
• Age limit: Less than 30 Years as of the last date of application. Relaxable in accordance with GOI instructions.

4. DEO/Lab Assistant (Grade ‘A’)

• Number of Posts: 1
• Salary per month: RS 20,000
• Essential Qualifications: 12th pass from a recognized board with 1 year experience in EDP (Electronic Data Processing) work in Government, Autonomous, PSU, or any other recognized organization.
• Desirable Qualifications: 15000 key depression per hour in computer.
• One year experience in data entry, preferably in a healthcare institution.
• Age limit: 25 years on the date of the interview. Relaxable in accordance with GOI instructions.

How to apply

Interested candidates shall have to fill up the standard application form neatly and legibly and submit it with the required documents and a colored photograph duly self-attested. Please note that incomplete forms shall be summarily rejected.

• 3(Three) copies of recent passport size colored photographs duly self-attested,
• Document confirming age proof or HSLC admit card or Birth Certificate,
• All mark sheets and pass certificates,
• Permanent Residential Certificate,
• Certificates of training, experience, special skills,
• Caste certificate.
• Self-attested copies of certificates should be enclosed along with the application.

Important Points

• Candidates willing to apply for more than one post should submit a separate application for each post.
• The application is to be Submitted on or before 26th September to the undersigned either personally or through registered postal service.
• Name of the post applied for and advertisement number should be clearly mentioned on the TOP of the envelope. Envelopes which do not have the ‘name of the post applied’ written on the TOP shall not be open/entertained.
• The shortlisted candidates shall have to appear for a written and/or oral interview, the date and time of which will be duly notified on the college website. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the same.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.
• The recruitment authority reserves the right to shortlist the candidates for written tests / interviews based on qualification, experience, special skills, and the number of applications received.
• Selected candidates shall have to accept the Terms and Conditions of Engagement failing which they shall not be engaged in the posts.
