Educational Qualification
- The candidate must possess a commendable academic record, as defined by the concerned University, with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade on a point scale at the Master’s Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University.
- Additionally, the candidate is required to have successfully cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by bodies such as the UGC, CSIR, or an equivalent test accredited by the UGC, such as SLET/SET.
- For Master’s programs in disciplines where NET/SLET/SET is not conducted, the requirement of NET/SLET/SET is not applicable.
- It’s important to note that candidates who hold a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission’s (UGC) “Minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree Regulation, 2009” are exempted from meeting the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET, as specified in sub-clauses (i) and (ii) of clause 4.40.1 of the UGC Regulations dated June 30, 2010.
- A relaxation of 5% in marks may be provided at the graduate and Master’s level for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Differently-abled (Physically and visually differently-abled) categories for eligibility purposes. This 5% relaxation does not include any grace as per clause 3.4.1.
- It should be noted that the time spent by candidates in acquiring an M.Phil or Ph.D. Degree will not be considered as Teaching/Research experience for the purpose of appointment to the positions, as per clause 3.9.0.
