Age Limit- Applicants must be under the age of 38 as of July 1st, 2023. However, the upper age limit will be relaxed for candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with the Government of Assam’s regulations.

Important Points

Candidates must possess certificates from recognized boards/councils/universities/institutions as applicable.

Applicants should use the prescribed format available on the University website to submit their applications online.

Supporting documents in scanned form should accompany the submitted applications. The University will evaluate the applications based on the information/documents provided by the candidates.

If any false information is found in the submitted information/documents, the candidate will bear the sole responsibility and liability, and the application may be rejected without any refund of fees.

Existing contractual/temporary workers with the requisite qualifications at Cotton University will receive up to a maximum of 10% weightage based on their length of service to the University.

Highly qualified candidates will not be shortlisted for the mentioned posts.

The University will verify the candidates’ original documents during the interview and at the time of appointment or during their service.

If the candidate has submitted false information or suppressed relevant information, they will not be allowed to proceed with the selection process, or if they are in service, they will be terminated, without prejudice to any other action taken by the University.

In the case of exceptionally experienced candidates, the screening committee may recommend the relaxation of essential qualifications.

Applications received after the last date will be rejected.

UR category applicants must pay a non-refundable application processing fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred), while reserved category applicants must pay 50% of the specified amount (Rs.250/- Rupees two hundred and fifty only).

The University authority’s decision during different stages of the selection process will be final and binding.

Selected candidates will be governed by the New Pension Rules, 2005, and will receive standard CPC allowances as agreed upon by the Government.

If any selected candidate joins on deputation from another educational/research organization, government organization, or public sector undertaking, the standard government norms and Cotton University rules and regulations will apply.

All selected candidates will be on probation for one year, and their performance will be reviewed before the end of the probationary period.

Based on their performance, their services may be confirmed, terminated, or the probationary period extended if necessary.
