Eligibility

  • Candidates must ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria as of the closing date of the advertisement. The requirements include:
  • Possession of a First-Class degree certificate from a recognized University.
  • Prescribed experience in the relevant field as specified under “Qualifications & Experience” with documented proof.
  • It is essential to note that the specified qualifications/experience are the minimum requirements and do not guarantee an invitation for a personal interview. Weightage for higher qualifications is granted based on the following conditions:
  • Post Graduate Qualification in Engineering: 2 years of weightage.
  • Post Graduate Degree in Medicine (For Medical Posts only): 3 years of weightage.
  • Doctorate Degree in Science: 3 years of weightage.
  • Doctorate Degree in Engineering: 4 years of weightage.

Age

  • For Scientist ‘D’/‘E’/’F’: Not exceeding 50 years.
  • For Scientist ‘C’: Not exceeding 40 years.

Age Relaxation

  • Up to 10 years for Divyang/PwD candidates (Maximum age shall not exceed 56 years, including age relaxation).
  • The upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for serving Civilian Central Government employees working in posts that are in the same line or allied cadres, and where a relationship could be established that the service already rendered in a particular post will be useful for the efficient discharge of the duties of the advertised posts.
  • The upper age limit is relaxable for Ex‐servicemen, including Ex SSCOs/ECOs, as per rules in vogue.

How to Apply

  • Candidates must first register online at the RAC website. Detailed guidelines will be available on the candidate’s login at the RAC website.
  • Upon successful registration, candidates can log in before the closing date of the advertisement to fill out the application form online.
  • All necessary certificates and related documents should be uploaded, and the requisite fee should be paid.
  • After reviewing the application along with uploaded certificates/documents, the application must be locked for submission. Only locked/finalized applications in all respects will be considered.
  • If any document is in a language other than English/Hindi, an English/Hindi transcript should also be attached; otherwise, the document will be rejected.
  • Candidates should retain a printout/copy of the online recruitment application (in PDF format) after submission.
  • Candidates applying for more than one post should apply separately for each post, mentioning the item numbers of all other posts where they have applied or intend to apply.
  • Applicants are advised to fill in all their particulars carefully in the online recruitment application and verify it before locking. No corrections in the data/application will be allowed, and no documents will be accepted once finally submitted.
  • All serving candidates (whether in permanent or temporary capacity) working in Government or in Government-owned organizations need to upload a signed declaration as per the format provided on the website, informing their Cadre Controlling Authority (CCA) of their application for the post in RAC, DRDO.
  • The intimation must be made in the prescribed format only.
  • If a communication from the employer is received by RAC withholding permission for the candidate to apply for the post, their candidature will be liable for cancellation.
Documents Required
  • Date of Birth (DOB) proof: Self-attested Matriculation certificate/High School certificate/Birth Certificate with birth date.
