Assam career – The Department of Health Research, Government of India, is conducting a walk-in interview to fill the position of Research Scientist-II (Scientist C) at the Multi-Disciplinary Research Unit, which is sponsored by the Government of India. Position

Research Scientist-II (Scientist C) – Medical/Non-Medical

Number of Positions: 1

Monthly Remuneration: INR 67,000 plus HRA (8%)

Minimum Qualification:

• Post Graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with 5 years of R&D/teaching experience, or
• Postgraduate diploma in medical subjects with 6 years of R&D/teaching experience, or
• MBBS recognized by MCI or equivalent degree with 8 years of R&D/teaching experience after MBBS degree, or
• Research BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree recognized by DCl/VCI with 9 years of R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree.

Upper Age Limit

40 years as per Government norms.

Desirable Qualifications

• Doctorate or M.Tech Degree in the related subject for candidates with a first-class relevant degree.
• Knowledge of computer applications.

Duration: The engagement is for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of an extension based on satisfactory performance.

• These positions are purely temporary and contingent on the project’s tenure. They may be terminated at any time, with one month’s notice or one month’s salary in lieu of notice provided.
• This does not apply to terminations due to performance-related issues, where such notice or salary may not be applicable. Candidates can also leave the job prematurely by providing one month’s notice or one month’s salary in lieu of notice.
• Candidates should submit Annexure-I on the day of the walk-in interview. Registration for the interview is open until 11:00 AM on 14/09/2023 for Research Scientist-II (Scientist C).
• Candidates must register at the interview venue before 11:00 AM. Late registrations will not be allowed. If the number of applicants exceeds 35, a written test will be conducted on the same day as the interview, and a shortlist will be prepared for the interview.
• Applicants should attach two recent self-signed passport-sized colored photographs to the first page of the application form.
• A set of self-attested photocopies of certificates must be attached to the application form.
• These positions are purely contractual and do not entitle the incumbents to any claim for regularization, neither at FAAMCH Barpeta nor at DHR/ICMR. Meeting the essential qualifications and experience requirements does not guarantee selection.
• FAAMCH Barpeta and DHR will have no legal liabilities related to staff during or after the project period. Performance will be regularly assessed.
• No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview or for the duration of the assignment.
• The pay scale for these positions is subject to increment in accordance with the latest DHR guidelines and funding availability.
