Qualification
- M.Tech/M.Sc. in GIS & Remote Sensing or Geoinformatics.
- M.A/M.Sc. in Geography/Geology/Environmental Science with Geoinformatics as one of the subjects or Certificate or Diploma in GIS/Remote Sensing.
- Geoinformatics. Ph.D. in GIS & Remote Sensing/Geoinformatics/Geography/Geology/Geophysics/Earth and Atmospheric Sciences with specialization in GIS & Remote Sensing is desirable.
Job Description
- Developing, implementing, managing, and customizing GIS applications using GIS platforms and web-mapping services.
- Creating maps, digital products, presentations, and draft designs.
- Coordinating the implementation of geospatial projects.
- Providing quality control for data capture and database construction.
- Installing, troubleshooting, and resolving problems with GIS applications and related software.
- Providing support for integration between GIS and other non-spatial applications.
- Offering GIS training activities and technical support to GIS users.
Age
Above 22 years and not more than 40 years as of August 01, 2023. Age relaxation for reserved category candidates as per applicable Government policy.
Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with relevant work experience.
Skills: Various technical skills including knowledge of GIS platforms, scripting languages, web mapping services, spatial databases, and more. Fluency in Assamese, Hindi, and English is required.
Salary
The monthly remuneration for this position will be between RS 50,000.00 to RS 60,000.00 based on experience, with an additional communication expense of Rs. 1000.
