Assam career – Applications are being invited for the Open Competitive Examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

The purpose of this examination is to select Sub-Inspectors for positions within the Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

Additionally, eligible Departmental candidates, specifically Constables, Head Constables, and Assistant Sub-Inspectors of the Delhi Police, who have completed a minimum of three years of service and are within the age range of 30 years (33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST).

Eligibility

Educational Qualification for all posts is Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. The candidates who have appeared in their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination can also apply, however they must possess Essential Qualification on or before the cutoff date, that is 15/08/2023.

Pay Scale

Sub-Inspector (GD) in CAPFs- RS 35,400 to RS 1,12,400.

Sub-Inspector (Executive)- RS 35,400 to RS 1,12,400.

Nationality

A candidate must be either a citizen of India, Nepal and Bhutan.

Age

For the available positions, candidates’ ages must fall within the range of 20 to 25 years. In other words, candidates should have been born between August 2, 1998, and August 1, 2003, to be eligible for applying.

How To Apply, Assam career

To apply, you need to use the internet and go to the official website of SSC Headquarters, which is https://ssc.nic.in.

You can find detailed instructions in Annexure-I and Annexure-II of this Notice. There are also examples of how to fill out the One-time Registration and online Application Forms in Annexure-IA and Annexure-IIA. 8.2.

When you fill out the online Application Form, you have to upload a scanned color passport-sized photograph in JPEG/JPG format.

The photograph should be between 20 KB and 50 KB in size, with dimensions around 3.5 cm in width and 4.5 cm in height.

According to a court order from March 5, 2020, your photograph should not be more than three months old from the date when the notice about the examination was published.

In the photograph, you should not be wearing a cap or glasses, and your face should be clearly visible. 8.3. Before you submit the Application Form, make sure you follow the instructions for uploading the photograph.

If you don’t upload the photograph in the right format as explained in section 8.2, your application might be rejected.

There’s an example of acceptable and unacceptable photographs in Annexure-XI. 8.4. The deadline for submitting your application online is August 15, 2023, at 11:00 PM. 8.5.

It’s a good idea to submit your application well before the closing date to avoid any potential issues. Don’t wait until the last moment because the website might become very busy and you could have trouble accessing it. 8.6.

The Commission won’t be responsible if you can’t submit your application by the deadline due to the reasons mentioned above or any other reasons beyond their control. 8.7.

Before you finally submit the online application, take a look at the Preview/Print option to make sure you entered the correct details in each part of the Online Application Form.

Application Fee

Rs 100 only for the Un-reserved category candidates. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

Examination Structure

The assessment will involve Paper-1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-2, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Each of these phases is essential and must be completed.

• (a) Before applying, read the Examination Notice carefully. It’s available in both English and Hindi. In case of any disagreement, the English version prevails.
• (b) Submit your online application well before the closing date. Don’t wait till the last moment to avoid website congestion.
• (c) The Commission won’t examine detailed eligibility during the written exam. Make sure you meet educational, age, and other criteria before applying. Certificates will be checked later.
• (d) Reserved category candidates should have valid certificates. Follow the instructions for SC/ST/OBC/EWS reservation.
• (e) After successful submission, the application is provisional. Save a printout for reference. Usually, you don’t need to send it to the Commission.
• (f) Use the same name, birthdate, parents’ names as in your matriculation certificate.
• (g) Only clear and proper photos and signatures are accepted.
• (h) Provide accurate email and phone details as the Commission may contact you through them.
• (i) Bring recent passport-sized photos and an original Photo ID to the exam venue. The ID must have your Date of Birth, or you need an additional proof.
• (j) Don’t fake applications using important names or photos.
• (k) Most positions require service anywhere in India.
• (l) If you score above cutoff but can’t move to the next stage, report within two months or two weeks before the next stage.
• (m) If selected, but no correspondence is received within a year, contact the User Department.
• (n) A fee of Rs. 100 is required, but some categories are exempt.
• (o) Submit only one application. Multiple ones will lead to rejection.
• (p) Aadhaar data might be used for verification.
• (q) A correction window is provided after application submission, but careful filling is advised.
• (r) The final application cannot be modified after submission or the correction window.
• (s) Follow photo guidelines strictly, or your application will be rejected.
• (t) Carefully read and agree to the declaration before signing.
• (u) Indicate your post and organization preferences before the final result.
