Assam career – Applications are being invited for the Open Competitive Examination conducted by the Staff Selection Commission.

The purpose of this examination is to select Sub-Inspectors for positions within the Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

Eligibility

Educational Qualification for all posts is Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or equivalent. The candidates who have appeared in their Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination can also apply, however they must possess Essential Qualification on or before the cutoff date, that is 15/08/2023.

A candidate must be either a citizen of India, Nepal and Bhutan.

Age

For the available positions, candidates’ ages must fall within the range of 20 to 25 years. In other words, candidates should have been born between August 2, 1998, and August 1, 2003, to be eligible for applying.

When you fill out the online Application Form, you have to upload a scanned color passport-sized photograph in JPEG/JPG format.

The photograph should be between 20 KB and 50 KB in size, with dimensions around 3.5 cm in width and 4.5 cm in height.

According to a court order from March 5, 2020, your photograph should not be more than three months old from the date when the notice about the examination was published.

In the photograph, you should not be wearing a cap or glasses, and your face should be clearly visible. 8.3. Before you submit the Application Form, make sure you follow the instructions for uploading the photograph.

If you don’t upload the photograph in the right format as explained in section 8.2, your application might be rejected.

There’s an example of acceptable and unacceptable photographs in Annexure-XI. 8.4. The deadline for submitting your application online is August 15, 2023, at 11:00 PM. 8.5.

It’s a good idea to submit your application well before the closing date to avoid any potential issues. Don’t wait until the last moment because the website might become very busy and you could have trouble accessing it. 8.6.

The Commission won’t be responsible if you can’t submit your application by the deadline due to the reasons mentioned above or any other reasons beyond their control. 8.7.

Application Fee

Rs 100 only for the Un-reserved category candidates. Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

Examination Structure

The assessment will involve Paper-1, Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Endurance Test (PET), Paper-2, and Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Each of these phases is essential and must be completed.

  • (l) If you score above cutoff but can’t move to the next stage, report within two months or two weeks before the next stage.
  • (m) If selected, but no correspondence is received within a year, contact the User Department.
  • (n) A fee of Rs. 100 is required, but some categories are exempt.

  • (p) Aadhaar data might be used for verification.
